The VRCA engaged Ryder Architecture to develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement project to understand the priorities for a potential Construction Innovation Centre (CIC) in Vancouver. This session will bring together VRCA members to discuss current challenges in the construction industry and opportunities for innovation. Using live polling, we will identify issues in the industry with attendees. We will share global examples of Innovation Centres, and identify priorities for a future CIC. We will break into small groups to discuss these topics and come together to share what we learned. The goal of the session is hear from members and better understand the potential for innovation to help the construction sector.
About the CICV project:
We understand that the most immediate concern of VRCA members is to manage challenges related to the pandemic, but still recognize the importance of looking to the future in challenging times. As such, the VRCA is focusing on the engagement stage of the CICV process to listen to members in order to identify priorities related to construction innovation in Vancouver. As a VRCA member, Ryder Architecture will be facilitating this session.
