With the number of COVID-19 cases on the rise, British Columbians need to return to the behaviours that helped flatten B.C.’s curve initially. For the construction industry, that means doubling down on the enhanced safety protocols that have allowed it to mitigate virus transmission and outbreaks on site while operating as an essential service and supporting the province’s economic recovery.

Join VRCA president Fiona Famulak on Oct. 14, 7:30-9 a.m., as she hosts a panel discussion that will take a deep dive into the lessons learned from COVID-19, the lasting changes resulting from the new normal and opportunities for further improvement.

The panelists will discuss:

  • The changes made to limit the spread of COVID-19 on site, in offices and in manufacturing facilities and what’s likely to stay long term;
  • The new protocols adopted to mitigate the risk of disruptions resulting from, for example, the decreased number of people on site and/or supply chain disruptions; and
  • How technology can and is being used to keep projects moving, screen workers on the jobsite, and communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.

Panelists:

Registrants will receive the video conference details in a meeting request emailed separately a few days prior to the meeting.
