VRCA is partnering with TransLink to present the next event in its member-exclusive Infrastructure Series, designed specifically to provide procurers of construction with an opportunity to share with VRCA members, details of their capital and maintenance programs, upcoming projects and how to access the bidding opportunities.
TransLink is Metro Vancouver's regional transportation authority, responsible for planning and delivering public transit – including Bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, West Coast Express and HandyDART services. It also manages regional cycling infrastructure, major regional roads, a goods movement program, and operates five bridges connecting communities across the region.
The regional transportation authority is responsible for approximately $13.5 billion in assets, and typically has about 100 projects in active construction. Its annual capital program value ranges between $300 million and more than $1 billion, and includes fleet acquisition, major projects, state of good repair projects, and upgrades to facilities and systems.
