The Construction Industry Ethics course has been designed to help you understand ethics as it relates to the construction industry through practical examples of ethical decision making. The course contains interactive elements, case studies, practical examples, videos, and a course glossary.
Effective 2017, the online ethics course PLUS a full day classroom ethics course will be mandatory to receive Gold Seal Certification.
This course is intended for owner/clients, contractors, supervisors, project managers, etc. who must deal effectively and professionally with employees, subtrades, owners, clients, engineers, employers, and the public.
This course consists of 7 lessons of approximately 35 minutes duration each, for a total of about 4 hours of self-paced instruction. A final mark of 100% is required in order to receive a certificate of completion. This course is available online in English and French.>
This course is supported by Windows, Internet Explorer, MAC, Firefox, Chrome, Safari. It will function on iPads and Tablets. While it may also work on phones, it was not design to be taken on these platforms.
Once you register for a course, you will receive an email with instructions and a pin number within 24 hours of registration. After which, you can begin the course at any time. Please note hours of operation in the Education department are Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. All registrations received after hours will be processed the next business day.
This course has been accredited by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) for two (2) credits towards Gold Seal Certification upon successful completion of this course. *A final mark of 100% is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.
This course has been approved by BC Housing Licensing and Consumer Services (formerly Homeowners Protection Office) for eight (8) Group B points towards Continued Professional Development (CPD) upon successful completion. *A final mark of 100% is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.
