Participants will learn how to read a set of electrical construction blueprints, drawing specifications and general notes. Using various samples of electrical blueprints, participants will gain experience and practical knowledge for their day-to-day work on construction projects.
Format: One day (8 hours) of in-class instruction
Ideal for those who have little or no background in electrical blueprint reading.
Troy Henderson is the Chief Estimator for a prominent electrical contractor and is a BC Master Electrician FSR Class A. Troy has been in the electrical industry since the early 1980’s. He has worked on some of the largest electrical projects in BC. In 1999 he moved into the role as an Estimating/Project Manager. He has successfully landed many jobs of all sizes and has a passion to train a new generation of Estimators in ethically securing business for their companies.
This course has been accredited by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) for one (1) credit towards Gold Seal certification for in-class attendance.
This course has been approved by BC Housing Licensing and Consumer Services (formerly Homeowners Protection Office) for seven and a half (7.5) points towards Continued Professional Development (CPD) for in-class attendance.
This course has been approved by Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) for seven (7) core units towards AIBC’s Continuing Education System
