Using various samples of civil blueprints, participants will learn how to read civil construction blueprints, drawing specifications, and general notes, and will gain experience and practical knowledge for their day-to-day work on construction projects.
Please note that there is approximately a 20% overlap in material between this course and our Introduction to Construction Blueprint Reading class.
Format: One day (8 hours) of in-class instruction
Ideal for those who have little or no background in civil blueprint reading.
Mark Waters, CTech., GSC has worked in the general contracting and civil industry for the past 35 years and is an experienced project manager and estimator. He graduated from the BCIT Geomatics Technician program with honours in 1996 and joined the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Association of BC in 1997. Mark spent many of his earlier civil construction years as a project superintendent and engineering surveyor.

If VRCA has to postpone or cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment, VRCA will refund the registration fee or, if possible, the attendee may choose to move to an identical session in the future.
